DTC - Ring Djursland race report

James Thompson claimed victory in round 9 of the Danish Touring Car Championship (DTCC), held at Ring Djursland, Denmark, on 14-15 August 2010.

After starting on pole, the Hartmann Honda Racing driver Thompson had a strong start and maintained the lead for the entire race. The Brit crossed the finish line ahead of Casper Elgaard and Robert Schlünssen.

Elgaard won the second DTC race of the weekend when a series of incidents resulted in just three cars crossing the finishing line. Jens Reno Møller claimed second ahead of Wolfgang Treml, who started from the pits. All those involved in incidents were unhurt, while Thompson’s car suffered extreme damage.

Rounds 11 and 12 of the DTC will be held at Jyllandsringen on 5 September 2010 within the Scandinavian Touring Car Cup.
