Chevrolet’s Rob Huff claimed his first victory of the season in round 13 of the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC), held in Brno, Czech Republic, on 1 August 2010.
During Saturday’s qualifying session the British driver claimed pole position for Chevrolet, after setting a fastest lap time of 2:10.198, followed by SEAT’s Gabriele Tarquini, who lapped the Czech circuit in 2:11.198. Colin Turkington qualified third for the first race of the weekend, setting a fastest lap time of 2:11.205.
After starting on pole for race one, Huff immediately took the lead and managed to pull away from the rest of the field to claim his first victory of the season. Tarquini crossed the finish line second, 0.796 seconds behind the winner. Huff’s team-mate Alain Menu completed the top-three, after a collision between Colin Turkington, who was currently running third, and Norbert Michelisz, allowed the Swiss driver to pass for third.

Turkington crossed the finished line second, followed by Menu, who claimed his second third-place finish of the weekend.
